Switching Kit

Switching Banks Is Easier Than You Think.

Most people put off switching banks because it feels complicated. It’s not. FNBA’s free Switching Kit walks you through every step: closing your old account, setting up direct deposit, and moving your bills over to your new FNBA account. Five steps. One checklist. Done.

Follow the steps below at your own pace, to make the switch to FNBA. Our South Jersey bankers are available every step of the way if you need help.

5 Steps to Switching to FNBA

Step 1

Open Your FNBA Account

Visit any FNBA branch in South Jersey to
open your new checking or savings account.

Bring two forms of a valid government-issued ID
and your Social Security number. A South Jersey banker
will have you set up in one visit.

Step 2

Set Up Direct Deposit

Notify your employer, benefits provider,
or any other income source of your new FNBA
account and routing number.
The FNBA routing number is 031204804.

Step 3

Update Your Automatic Payments

Make a list of all recurring bills and automatic payments
linked to your old account, including utilities, subscriptions,
insurance, and loan payments, and update each
one with your new FNBA account details.
The switching kit checklist includes a
pre-formatted list to make this step easier.

Step 4

Transfer Your Remaining Balance

Once your direct deposit is active and your automatic
payments are updated, transfer any remaining funds from
your old account to your FNBA account.
Keep a small buffer in the old account
for any payments still clearing.

Step 5

Close Your Old Account

Contact your former bank to close your account
once all pending transactions have posted and no further activity is expected.
Request written confirmation of account closure for your records.
You are done.
