Foundational History

The First National Bank of Absecon (FNBA) is a community-based financial institution that has operated independently in Atlantic County, New Jersey, for over a century. 

  • Establishment: The bank received its national charter on November 15, 1915, and officially began serving the community on March 20, 1916.
  • Early Locations: Its original building was located at 100 New Jersey Avenue, which later became Absecon City Hall and is now the Howlett Hall Museum.
  • Current Headquarters: In 1950, the bank moved to its present main office at 106 New Jersey Avenue in Absecon.

FNBA offers a full range of deposit and loan products. Deposit products include checking, savings, money market accounts, certificates of deposits, and individual retirement accounts. The Bank grants residential, commercial, and consumer loans to customers throughout its trade area.
