Opening, fees, debit cards, and everyday account management.
Opening a personal checking account at FNBA is simple. Stop by any FNBA branch. A banker will explain your account options and get you set up the same day. Please bring two forms of a valid government-issued ID, your Social Security number, and an opening deposit.
FNBA personal checking accounts are designed to keep banking straightforward. Account fee structures vary by account type; speak with a branch banker to confirm the current fee schedule for the account that best fits your needs. There are no surprise fees, and your banker will clearly explain any applicable fees before you open your account.
Minimum balance requirements vary by account type. Some FNBA personal checking accounts have no minimum ongoing balance requirement, while others may require a minimum to avoid a monthly service fee. A branch banker can match you with the account that fits your financial habits and confirm any applicable minimums at the time you open your account.
FNBA offers account protection (subject to a $10 fee) to help you avoid declined transactions and returned-payment fees. Speak with a banker at your nearest FNBA branch for full details to signup for account protection.
Yes. Every FNBA personal checking account includes a free Mastercard® debit card for everyday purchases, ATM withdrawals, and online transactions. Savings accounts, money market, Christmas Club, and access limits.
FNBA offers several personal savings options for South Jersey residents, including a standard savings account, a Money Market account for higher balances, and a Christmas Club account for goal-based holiday saving.
Minimum opening deposit requirements vary by savings product. FNBA’s savings accounts are designed to be accessible to South Jersey residents at all stages of life. A branch banker can provide current minimums and help you compare accounts side by side. Please visit a branch or call 609-641-6300 to get started.
FNBA savings accounts earn a competitive Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on every dollar you deposit. Current rates vary by product and balance tier. Please visit any FNBA branch, call 609-641-6300, or refer to the Interest Rates page at fnbabsecon.com/rates/ for current APY information. Rates are subject to change at any time.
A Christmas Club account is a short-term, goal-based savings account that helps you set aside money throughout the year for holiday spending. You make regular deposits deducted from one of your other FNBA accounts during the year, and the funds are distributed to you in the fall, just in time for the holiday season. It is a simple, disciplined way to avoid post-holiday debt. Ask a branch banker for current deposit requirements and distribution dates.
Terms, rates, early withdrawal, maturity, and retirement accounts.
FNBA Certificates of Deposit are available in a wide range of terms, from 30 days to 84 months, giving you the flexibility to match your investment horizon. Interest compounds quarterly and is credited to your account. Longer terms generally offer higher rates. Visit any FNBA branch or call 609-641-6300 to view current rates and choose the term that fits your savings timeline.
FNBA CDs require a minimum opening deposit to earn the stated A P Y. The exact minimum varies by term and current rate promotion. A branch banker can confirm the current minimum for the term you are interested in and walk you through the simple opening process. Please visit a branch or call 609-641-6300 for information.
When your FNBA CD matures, you have a grace period to decide your next step: renew at the current rate, change the term, add funds, or withdraw without penalty. FNBA will notify you before maturity so you are not caught off guard. If you take no action during the grace period, the CD will automatically renew for the agreed upon term at the then-current interest rate.
Yes. Early withdrawal from an FNBA CD is subject to an early-withdrawal penalty, which varies based on the term of your certificate. The penalty is calculated as a portion of the interest accrued. FNBA will disclose the full penalty schedule when you open your CD. If you anticipate needing access to funds before the maturity date, a savings or money market account may be more suitable for your needs.
